This guide is meant to help engineers and technicians with a history of use of temperature, strain, humidity, ventilation, and flue fuel tools, to interpret their readings of box measurements. This choice will point out the deficiencies of the process demonstrated and techniques of correction. development of operation almost always leads to aid of application bills. easy screens and directions will allow non-technical body of workers to function gear successfully at minimal strength expenditures. In a number of development installations, this kind of regulate might store up to seventy five% of upkeep time since you can research the of the process with the pc earlier than you ship out the upkeep guy to make changes. additionally, you'll be capable of predetermine the precise challenge in order that an identical upkeep guy don't have to spend time checking a couple of goods till he pinpoints the trouble. the data during this booklet will support construction vendors, upkeep group of workers, contractors, and technicians in choosing the operation of energy-using platforms and techniques of reducing power intake.

Inspect unit housing for air leaks. 15. Measure air static pressure entering and leaving unit. a. G. G. High static pressures indicate Page 6 restrictions in ducts. This is usually caused by dampers or turning vanes. Very low static may indicate duct leaks. D. Refrigeration Equipment Conditions 1. Air Cooled Units a. Measure air temperature entering condenser coil and leaving condenser fan. About 20° rise is normal. Compare with outside temperature. Does discharge air recirculate? b. Measure unit amps and volts and compare with nameplate.

Temperature control on each unit usually is a two position or three way valve. If two position is used, some means of bypassing water from the supply to return piping is necessary to prevent overloading pumps. If three-way valves are used full circulation is available all the time. Check the manufacturers capacity curves on the pumps for the most efficient operation. On three-way valves, it may be possible to close the bypass, then provide a control at the pump to put part of the supply water back into the return at the chiller.

5. Check for dirty or rusty blower blades, especially forward curve. Clean carefully. 6. Check for wheel out of balance. 4. Air Patterns a. Side Wall Grilles. 1. If air does not reach opposite wall adjust front blades, 1/3 bottom turned up, 1/4 top turned down. If front blades are vertical, adjust rear blades similarly. If rear blades are tied together set all up about half way from horizontal. Page 10 2. In winter to get heat to floor tilt blades downward. 3. Adjust vertical blades for room coverage.
